We generally sail Avocet,
Curlew and Shearwater without outriggers in summer
and on inland waters. In winter and on the sea we often use
outriggers.
Outriggers can almost
eliminate the possibility of accidental capsize and make it much
easier to re-enter the boat from the water. If capsize recovery is likely to be a
problem or if the consequences of failing to recover from a
capsize are likely to be serious, outriggers should be
considered.
We are no longer offering the popular Lark
as it has been superseded by the Avocet.
